U.S. Agent's shield[]
This disc shield was comprised of Vibranium and used by Johnny Walker during his early years as the U.S. Agent. It was similar in form and function to Captain America's shield, but colored in black and red to compliment the U.S. Agent's costume scheme.
Universal Church of Truth[]
The Universal Church of Truth was a massive alien religious cult that spanned many star systems across the Milky Way Galaxy. It was headquartered on Sirius X in the Hercules star cluster. The church was led by a being known as the Matriarch, who worshiped the Magus, which was the corporeal evil persona of Adam Warlock. The Grand Inquisitor of the Universal Church of Truth was a four-armed alien named Kray-Tor. The blue-skinned humanoid, Autolycus, served as a Black Knight in the Church.
Adam Warlock fought up against the Universal Church of Truth in the modern timeline. The Universal Church of Truth was responsible for a massacre on the planet Zen-Whoberi, which resulted in the deaths of nearly the entire Zen-Whoberian race. Gamora was its sole survivor.
University of Chicago[]
This was a college university located in Chicago, Illinois. One of its faculty members was a science professor named Joanne Tumolo. Students included Greer Grant and her friend, Jennie. Greer quit college to marry police officer Bill Nelson, but returned to her studies after Bill was shot and killed by a thief. She reconnected with Professor Tumolo, who brought her on as her lab assistant. (The Cat 1)
Ust-Ordynski Collective[]
This was a region located in Russia formed during the days of the Soviet Union. It was a farming community and the home of the Rasputin family, which included the siblings Piotr Rasputin, Illyana Rasputin and Mikhail Rasputin. While still a young teenager, Piotr saw his younger sister in the field about to be run down by a tractor. This prompted his mutant gene to transform into living steel for the first time. Gifted with superhuman strength and invulnerability, Piotr was able to save his sister. Sometime later, Professor Charles Xavier of the United States visited the Ust-Ordynski Collective to recruit Piotr into his mutant academy, Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters where he became a member of the X-Men.
