Marvel Treasury Special: 2001: A Space Odyssey is a one-shot comic magazine special published by Marvel Comics. It is the offiical adaptation of the 1968MGM feature film 2001: A Space Odyssey by director Stanley Kubrick. The comic story was written and illustrated by Jack Kirby with inks by Frank Giacoia and coloring by Marie Severin and lettering by John Costanza. It was edited by Jack Kirby. This issue shipped in June, 1976 and carries a cover price of $1.50 per copy.
2001: A Space Odyssey is a 1968 film directed by Stanley Kubrick and written by Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke. A novelization of the film was written by Clarke at the time of the film's production and is based on an earlier story treatment called "The Sentinel".
