- The character of Moon Knight was created by writer Doug Moench and artist Don Perlin. He first appeared in Werewolf by Night #32 in August 1975 in a story titled "The Stalker Called Moon Knight!".
- The story from this issue is reprinted in black and white in the Essential Moon Knight, Volume 1 trade paperback collection from 2006. It is also reprinted in the Moon Knight Epic Collection: Bad Moon Rising trade paperback in October, 2014.
- Klaus Janson drew the Moon Knight cover figure. Background images are panels from the issue itself, illustrated by Don Perlin.
- The adventures of Moon Knight continues in Marvel Spotlight #29.
- Stephen Grant's butler is named Samuel in this issue. This is his first appearance. Later stories establish that this is actually his surname and it is Samuels.
- Marlene's surname is indicated as "Fontaine" in this issue. Later stories will establish her full name as Marlene Alraune.
- Moon Knight first encountered Jack Russell, the Werewolf back in Werewolf by Night #32, which was also Moon Knight's first appearance.
