"When Satan Stalked the Earth!" is the thirteenth issue of the first Marvel Spotlight ongoing comic book series published by Marvel Comics. It was written by Gary Friedrich with artwork by Herb Trimpe and inks by Frank Chiaramonte. It was colored by Petra Goldberg and lettered by Artie Simek. The story was edited by Roy Thomas. This issue shipped with a January, 1974 cover date and carries a cover price of .20 cents per copy.

"When Satan Stalked the Earth!"[]

The character of Daimon Hellstrom was created by writer Gary Friedrich and artist Tom Sutton. He first appeared in an introductory cameo in the "A Woman Possessed" story from Ghost Rider, Volume 2 #1 in September, 1973.
This issue is reprinted in black and white in the Essential Marvel Horror, Volume 1 trade paperback collection, released in October, 2006. It is also reprinted in the Son of Satan Classic trade paperback collection in September, 2016.
This is the fourth appearance of Daimon Hellstrom, the Son of Satan. He appeared last in Ghost Rider #3. The origin of the character is revealed in flashback in this issue.
This is the second appearance of Satana Hellstrom. She appeared last in the fourth story in Vampire Tales #2 in October, 1973.
