Jack Russell and Lissa Russell are driving down Ventura Freeway and get caught in a traffic jam due to an unforseen automobile accident. An eighteen-wheeler, which was carrying live animals en route to a laboratory for experimentation has tipped over. The driver, Wever, radios to his superior and informs him that five rabid wolves had escaped during the crash.
Because Jack cannot get off the freeway before the full moon rises, he transforms into the werewolf. The werewolf encounters the five rabid wolves and fights them, ultimately killing them. Police officers arrive on the scene and open fire on Jack and throw a net around him, but Jack shreds the net and lopes off into the night.
