"Deathsong" is the title of the first story featured in issue #27 of the ongoing comic book anthology series Marvel Premiere, published by Marvel Comics. It was written by Chris Claremont with artwork and inks by Tony DeZuniga. It was colored by Janice Cohen and lettered by Marcos Pelayo. The story was edited by Marv Wolfman. The second story is a Satana reprint tale and is called "Satana, the Devil's Daughter". It was written by Roy Thomas and illustrated by John Romita with lettering by Irv Watanabe. This issue shipped with a December, 1975 cover date and carries a cover price of .25 cents per copy.
Satana Hellstrom appeared last in Marvel Spotlight #24. She appears next in black and white magazine format in Marvel Preview #7 in the Summer of 1976.
The second story is an abridged reprint of Satana's first appearance from Vampire Tales #2 from October, 1973.
The events of this story take place on August 17th, 1975. Given the rules governing the passage of time in comic books, this date should be considered non-canonical.
