- Adam Warlock was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, and was originally introduced as just "Him" in the pages of Fantastic Four #66 in September, 1967.
- This is the first appearance of Counter-Earth, which is created in this issue. This becomes the new home for the New-Men with this issue.
- Adam Warlock evolves from his previous "Him" state into a cosmic being, aided by the Soul Stone in this issue. He is dubbed Adam Warlock in this issue.
- This is the first appearance of the Soul Stone. It is one of six such pieces that comprise the Infinity Gems.
