"Cut-Throat Justice" is the title to the first story presented in issue #22 of the superhero anthology series Marvel Mystery Comics, published by Timely Comics. The story was written by Andrew McWhiney, with spot illustrations by Harry Ramsey. It was printed in black and white and is two-pages long. The first full story in this issue is "Terror in the Subway" featuring the Human Torch. It was written, illustrated and lettered by Carl Burgos. This is followed by a Sub-Mariner tale written and illustrated by Bill Everett. It is called "Smashing the Island Invasion". After this "Enter: The Vision", introducing the Golden Age Vision by creators Jack Kirby & Joe Simon. This is followed by a Terry Vance story called "Case of the Counterfeit Paintings". It is written by Ray Gill with artwork and inks by Bob Oksner. Next is "Mystery of the Moon Robots" featuring the robot known as Electro. It is illustrated by Steve Dahlman. After that is "The Murder of Happy Norton" by Paul Gustavson featuring Thomas Halloway as The Angel. Lastly, writer and artist Ben Thompson brings us a jungle adventure tale of a different flavor featuring Ka-Zar the Great titled "In the New York Jungle". All stories were edited by Joe Simon. The cover art illustration was rendered by Alex Schomburg. This issue has a November, 1940 cover date and carries a cover price of .10 cents per cop.
