Guardians of the Galaxy, also known as Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, is a television animated series blending elements of science fiction with superhero action/fantasy. It is based on the cosmic team, the Guardians of the Galaxy, as seen in comic book titles published by Marvel Comics. Stylistically, it also takes its cues from the 2014 feature film version of the Guardians of the Galaxy, which is part of the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe. The animated series was produced by Marvel Animation and began airing on Disney XD on September 5th, 2015.
