Biography[]
Marlene Alraune was the daughter of Peter Alraune, who was an archaeologist. Marlene worked with her father in the Sudan, but their camp was overrun by mercenaries led by the psychotic treasure-hunter Raul Bushman. Peter tried to rebel against Bushman, but one of the mercenary's lieutenants, Marc Spector, deflected Peter's attack. Bushman punished Alraune by biting out his throat, killing him. It was this incident that led Marc Spector to ultimately betray his employer. Marlene blamed Spector for the death of her father, until Marc wandered battered and bleeding near to the point of death inside the Tomb of Pharaoh Seti. Bathed in the light of the Statue of Khonshu, Marc Spector was resurrected with a renewed sense of purpose. He was now the moon's knight of vengeance - Moon Knight. Marlene forgave Spector for the role he played in her father's death, and worked closely with him as he fought against Bushman. Eventually, Marlene and Mark became lovers. [3]
