Overview[]
Marla Aster was an archaeologist stationed aboard the Federation starship USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard in the year 2366. She lived on board the ship with her young son, Jeremy. Marla was part of an away mission to the Koinonian homeworld led by Lieutenant Worf when a bomb exploded, claiming her life. Jeremy was orphaned and the bridge crew of the Enterprise tried to help him come to terms with his mother's death. Jeremy however, blamed Lieutenant Worf for her demise. The Koinonians created an illusory simulacrum of Marla in order to make Jeremy believe that she was still alive.
