Mark Scarlotti is a fictional costumed criminal who has gone by the code names of Whiplash and Blacklash. He is featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics and is part of the mainstream Marvel Universe. He is associated with the Iron Man line of titles and first appeared in the first story in Tales of Suspense #97 in January, 1968 titled "The Coming of Whiplash".
Biography[]
As the costumed mercenary known as Whiplash, Mark Scarlotti hired himself out to the Maggia and took orders from Big M, also known as Whitney Frost. He was stationed aboard a submersible that was attached to the Maggia's casino ship.
