Mark Ruffalo is an American film actor. He was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on November 22nd, 1967. In the genre of superhero fantasy fiction, Mark is best known for his portrayal of Bruce Banner in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Ruffalo replaced actor Ed Norton, who portrayed the Green Goliath's alter ego in 2008's Incredible Hulk and made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in the 2012 ensemble film The Avengers. In addition to playing Banner, Ruffalo also performed in scenes for the Hulk, wearing prosthetic appendages for scenes that required the Hulk to physically interact with another character, as well as a motion capture suit for all additional scenes. Two full body motion capture HD cameras were used to film scenes of the Hulk's movements as well as additional cameras for his face.
Mark Ruffalo reprised the role of Bruce Banner for an uncredited cameo appearance in an after-credit sequence in 2013's Iron Man 3. As the story is told in narrative from Tony Stark's perspective, it is not until the end of the movie that it is revealed that he has been speaking with Bruce Banner the entire time.
On March 6th, 2013, Mark Ruffalo announced over Twitter that the next time you would see him as the Hulk would be in Avengers: Age of Ultron. At the time of the posting, he stated that there were no plans for an independent Hulk feature at that time. [1]
