Marita Grabiak is a television director who has contribed her talents to several science fiction programs. Her first work in the genre was directing the "Jaynestown" episode of Joss Whedon's space western Firefly. Grabiak then added herself to the growing ranks of Battlestar Galactica directors by helming the second episode of the 2003 relaunch of Battlestar Galactica titled "Water". In 2006, she directed the twelfth episode of the short-lived NBC television series Surface. That same year, she directed the "Alienated" episode of Eureka and in 2009, she returned to Joss Whedon's side to direct the "Instinct" episode of his series Dollhouse.
