Maria Nicastro is a fictional murder victim and a minor character featured in the Sleepaway Camp film series. Played by actress Kashina Kessler, she appeared in the 1989 film Sleepaway Camp III: Teenage Wasteland.
Biography[]
Maria Nicastro was a teenage girl who lived in New York City, New York with her parents. She was scheduled to leave home for camp at Camp New Horizons, and couldn't wait to get away from her family.
As she was walking down the street, psychopath Angela Baker pursued her in a Mack truck. She chased her down and ally and rammed her with the vehicle, killing her. She dumped her body into the compactor of a garbage truck.
Angela assumed Maria's identity and took her place as a counselor at Camp New Horizons, where she continued to kill other people.

- This is Kashina Kessler's only known work as an actress.
- Maria is the first character to appear in the film and is also the first on-screen character with speaking lines.
- Maria had two tattoos, one above each breast that read "milk" and "shake". Yeah, she's kind of a whore.
- Maria Nicastro is the thirtieth murder victim of Angela Baker.
- Maria is the first murder victim seen in the film. She is also the only murder victim whose death occurs somewhere outside the vicinity of Camp New Horizons.
