Planet of the Apes[]

Marcus - POTA 001

Marcus was a humanoid gorilla who lived in the East Coast Ape City in the late 40th century. He was a member of the Security Police force and took orders directly from Minister of Science, Doctor Zaius. He was part of the hunt that rounded up three time-displaced astronauts named Taylor, Dodge, and Landon. He was seen participating in a photograph commemorating the event. Marcus later delivered Taylor to the chimpanzee psychologist, Doctor Zira. Later, Doctor Zaius ordered Marcus to blow up the cave containing important artifacts linking ape history with humanity's past.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre[]

Marcus - TCM 001

Marcus was a cameraman for WTX News. He worked alongside reporter Kim Burns. In June, 1974, Kim, Marcus, and her assistant Karla, traveled to Travis County, Texas to do a follow-up story on a series of grisly murders that has come to be known as the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1) Marcus drove well into the night until they reached Fuller. They arrived at the Blair Meat Company. Kim told Marcus that she wanted him to shoot some b-roll. Kim was in the midst of taping her narrative when Marcus cut the film, citing that the light was no good. Kim and Marcus went inside the plant in the hopes of taping some audio, leaving Karla in the van. They scoured around the seemingly abandoned meat plant, and were startled to find an employee holding a chainsaw named Hank. Hank took them on a tour, and showed them the day-to-day operations. Marcus was sickened at watching hogs being slaughtered. After they left, Marcus commented about needing one of Karla's "special cigarettes" to calm his nerves. (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2)

V[]

V Episode - Fruition 002

Marcus was an extraterrestrial and a member of the race known only as the Visitors. He was a high-ranking member of the Visitor High Command, and served loyally under former High Commander Diana up until the years of Diana's apparent death. Following her disappearance, Diana's daughter Anna assumed the mantle of High Commander and Marcus followed her with equal zeal.

Marcus accompanied Anna and the Visitor fleet to Earth in 2009 where they publicly revealed themselves to the planet's general population. Visitor sleeper agents had been operating on Earth in secret for years, but this was the first time that Earthlings learned that they were no longer alone in the universe. (V: Pilot)

Marcus was a stoic and pragmatic subordinate and differed himself from others in that he never wavered in his objectives. Marcus also did not suffer from the affliction of human emotion - a condition that affected many Visitors who had endured prolonged exposures to human DNA skin coverings.
