Marc Daniels was an American television film director born in Pennsylvania on January 27th, 1912. Daniels is best remembered for his work on the original Star Trek television series where he directed six episodes from season one, eight episodes from season two and one episode from season three (15 total). He also made an uncredited appearance in "The Changeling" playing the part of Professor Jackson Roykirk. He also directed the 1974 Gene Roddenberry-driven television movie pilot Planet Earth - a precursor to the Andromeda television series. Daniels passed away in Santa Monica, California on April 23rd, 1989 at the age of 77.
