The Manhunters are a fictional organization featured in comic books published by DC Comics. They are generally associated with the Green Lantern line of comic titles, but have also made appearances in various Justice League of America titles and books relating around the many incarnations of Manhunter.
Description[]
The Manhunters were a series of androids created by the Guardians of the Universe as an interstellar peace keeping agency. The Manhunters became corrupt however, and rebelled against their programming. As such, the Guardians replaced them with an organization of sentient officers, the Green Lantern Corps.
Agents[]
There have been several different types of Manhunter agents. Some are robots that were designed to supplant and replace individuals, while others were brainwashed into becoming members of the Manhunter Cult.
