The Man-Thing is an American ongoing comic book series of the supernatural thriller and horror genres. It was published by Marvel Comics and ran from December, 1997 to July, 1998, spanning a total of eight issues. The book was written by J.M. DeMatteis with artwork by Liam Sharp, coloring by Christie Scheele, and lettering by Jon Babcock. The series was edited by Mark Bernardo.

- The character of Ted Sallis, aka the Man-Thing was created by writers Roy Thomas & Gerry Conway and artist Gray Morrow. He first appeared in the third story in Savage Tales #1 in May, 1971. Most of the early Man-Thing stories following his inaugural appearance were written by Steve Gerber.
- Bob Harras was the editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics during production of this series.
- This series launched Marvel's "Strange Tales" imprint, which contained more mature content and was not submitted to the Comics Code Authority.
- The storyline from this series continues in Strange Tales, Volume 3 in October, 1998.
