Malcassairo is a fictional planet featured in the Doctor Who television franchise. It appeared in the eleventh episode of series three of the 2005 revival series titled, "Utopia".
Description[]
Malcassairo was a barren planet with no sun. Its exact location is unknown. An ancient world, Malcassairo still existed in the year 100,000,000,000,000. By this point, humanity had miraculously managed to survive and/or re-evolve again, and Malcassairo served as one of the last outposts of this race. Many of the humans living on Malcassairo were a savage and nomadic race. They did not consider themselves human at all, and in fact, hunted other humans. These slavering ravagers were referred to as the Futurekind.
A race that was native to Malcassairo was the Malmooth. They were a sentient bipedal insectoid race, that were all but extinct. The last known member of the Malmooth race was Chantho. The Malmooth lived in mound hives across the desolate barren landscape.
From the year 2011, the Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones, along with stowaway Jack Harkness, accidentally journeyed to the year 100,000,000,000,000 and landed on Malcassairo.
