Overview[]
Mala is a blonde-haired Amazon and a recognized member of the Amazon society on Paradise Island. She is a close friend of Princess Diana and is often seen in the company of Diana's mother, Queen Hippolyta. Like her Amazon sisters, she was born when the Greek Goddesses threw the souls of women murdered by men into the Aegean Sea where the souls formed with the clay at the bottom then rose to the surface giving birth to the Amazons. Mala was placed in charge of Reform Island, which was a prison center located just off the coast of Paradise Island.
Bana-Mighdall[]
Another woman named Mala, who was also an Amazon, was a member of the Lost Tribe of Amazons that followed Antiope to Bana-Mighdall. She was an elderly, scarred woman who lost an eye when a demon spit fire into her face. When Princess Diana visited Bana-Migdhall in the modern era, Mala took her into a tabernacle to show her a statue of Antiope, whose likeness bore strong similarity to Diana. [1]
Stargate[]
Mala is a fictional alien warrior and a minor character featured in the Stargate multimedia franchise. Played by actress Christine Adams, she appeared in the tenth episode of season seven of Stargate SG-1 titled "Birthright".
