Nishikata Mai is a Japanese writer and graphic artist of Manga. She created the Manga series Venus Capriccio, which was a coming of age story between two childhood friends who discover a romantic attraction towards one another while taking piano lessons in high school. The Manga was adapted into English translations in the United States and Canada by DC Comics and CMX. Mai wrote, illustrated and provided the cover art for all four volumes of the Manga.
