A magic potion is a vapor or liquid cast within a container that possesses magical properties. The desired affect of a magic potion is achieved once the subject either consumes the liquid or inhales the vapor. Magic potions are usually devised and utilized by witches and warlocks, but may also be cultivated by demons as well.
On the original Addams Family television series, Morticia Addams concocted a love dust potion that when sprinkled upon a subject, was designed to make them fall in love with a chosen individual. She used this on a suitor named Harvey in the hopes that he would fall in love with depressed cousin, Melancholia Frump.
On the TV series Angel, Angel and a half-demon warrior known as the Groosalugg had to go to a demon brothel in order to procure a magic potion that would allow psychic Cordelia Chase the ability to have sexual relations with the Groosalugg without passing along her powers of precognition.
