Madame Web is an American feature film of the super-hero fantasy genre. It is based on characters and concepts developed by Marvel Comics. The film was directed by S.J. Clarkson with a screenplay written by Clarkson, Burk Sharpless, Claire Parker and Matt Sazama based on a story treatment by Burk Sharpless, Matt Sazama and Kerem Sanga. It was produced by Marvel Entertainment and theatrically released in the United States on February 14th, 2024, by Columbia Pictures. The film stars Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Webb, Sydney Sweeney as Julia Carpenter, Isabela Merced as Anya Corazon, Celeste O'Connor as Mattie Franklin, and Tahar Rahim as Ezekiel Sims.

- Cassie Webb is based on the Marvel Comics character Cassandra Webb, who was created by writer Denny O'Neil and artist John Romita, Jr.. She was introduced in Amazing Spider-Man #210 from November, 1980.

- The character of Mattie Franklin is based on the Marvel Comics character Martha "Mattie" Franlin, who is the third individual to assume the code name of Spider-Woman after Jessica Drew and later Julia Carpenter. She is the niece and later, adopted daughter of Daily Bugle publisher J. Jonah Jameson. Her relationship to Jameson is referenced in this film. Mattie Franklin was introduced in Spectacular Spider-Man #262 in October, 1998. She was killed off in Silk, Volume 2 #17 in April, 2017.
