Lust of the Vampire, also known as I Vampiri, is an Italian horror film of the vampire subgenre. It was initially directed by Riccardo Freda, but completed by Mario Bava. The script was written by Piero Regnoli, Rijk Sijöstrom and Riccardo Frea based on a story treatment by Regnoli and Sijöstrom. It was produced by Titanus and Athena Cinematografica. It was released in Italy on April 5th, 1957. It was released in the United Kingdom in 1960. It did not premiere in the United States until 1963.
