Luke Cage, Hero for Hire is an American comic book series of the superhero fantasy genre. It was published by Marvel Comics from June, 1972 to December, 1973, spanning a total of sixteen issues. Following issue #16, the series changed it's title to Power Man, and continued along this course until changing it's title again to Power Man and Iron Fist with issue #67.
The series featured Luke Cage, a super-strong powerhouse who performed heroic deeds and fought bad guys - for a price. The original creative team on the series consisted of writers Roy Thomas, John Romita Sr. and Archie Goodwin, as well as artists George Tuska and Billy Graham.
All issues of Luke Cage, Hero for Hire have been collected in the Essential Luke Cage, Power Man trade paperback collection.

- Per the indicia, the series was actually just called Hero for Hire.
- The first four issues of this title series shipped on a bi-monthly schedule. Beginning with issue #5, the series shipped on a monthly basis. Four issues of the series shipped in 1972 and the remainder shipped in 1973.
- Luke Cage, Hero for Hire #1 was reprinted in 2006 and packaged with the Power Man Marvel Legends action figure.
- Issues #14-15 make up the two-part "Retribution" storyline.
- Mimi Jenks was introduced in Luke Cage, Hero for Hire #5. She was murdered by Billy Bob Rackham in Luke Cage, Hero for Hire #16.
- Flea was introduced in Luke Cage, Hero for Hire #5.
