Lucas Wheeler is a fictional mechanic and a minor character in the Chucky television series on Syfy, which is part of the greater Child's Play universe. Played by actor Devon Sawa, he was introduced in the pilot episode of the series, "Death by Misadventure".
Biography[]
Lucas Wheeler was a single father from Hackensack, New Jersey, who worked as an automobile mechanic at J.L. Lube. He was the alcoholic father of Jake Wheeler, who opened up about his homosexuality at age thirteen. Lucas had great difficulty with this, and was in denial of his son's sexuality.
Jake was an artist, who utilized various props in his sculptures, one of which included a Good Guy doll. Jake didn't know it yet, but his doll Chucky was possessed by the spirit of serial killer Charles Lee Ray.
In October of 2021, after having a violent row with his son, Lucas sat down in his chair and noticed that his whiskey bottle was nearly depleted. Suddenly, the power turned off so Lucas went into the basement to check the fuse box. He found Chucky, who had consumed his whiskey and now vomited it upon the floor. Lucas was standing too close to an exposed cable and when the fluid touched it, it electrocuted him.

- The character of Lucas Wheeler was created by writer and director Don Mancini.
- Lucas Wheeler is the first of three character played by Devon Sawa on Chucky: The Series. He also plays twin brother Logan Wheeler and Catholic School of the Incarnate Lord administrator Father Bryce.
- Lucas Wheeler is the second Chucky victim on Chucky: The Series and the first human victim. He is also the first on-screen victim in the series. Chucky's first victim was actually Binx the cat, who was killed off-screen.
- It is unclear whether Lucas' issues with alcohol emerged following the death of his wife, or whether this was something he had been struggling with on a long-term basis.
