Description[]

Lowtown is a district in Madripoor characterized by its crime, graft, vice and corruption. It is a seedy nest of criminal activity and incorporates some of the most dangerous elements of the entire island. The Princess Bar, owned by an American named O'Donnell, is located in Lowtown.

In the year 1941, Captain America assisted Russian agent Ivan Petrovich in Lowtown and encountered the mutant Wolverine for the first time, as well as a very young Natasha Romanov. Captain America and Wolverine teamed up to fight The Hand. [1]

In the modern era, the inter-dimensional holding firm known as Landau, Luckman & Lake set up an office in Lowtown, which was officiated by a man named Chang. Private investigators Lindsay McCabe and Jessica Drew sought shelter at the LL&L office, but had a violent encounter with two assassins named Roughouse and Bloodsport. [2]

"Hardcase" Harry Malone led a mercenary outfit known as the Harriers, which operated out of Lowtown for a brief period of time.
