Losira is a fictional alien being as well as a holographic representation of that being featured in the 1966-1969 science fiction/action series Star Trek. She was played by actress Lee Meriwether and was the central antagonist of the season three episode, "That Which Survives".
Biography[]
Losira was the last remaining member of the Kalandan race which occupied a Kalandan outpost planet some 10,000 years ago. A visual representation of Losira was programmed into a computer console left behind at the outpost, which continued to function for many years. A hologram of Losira was discovered by members of the crew of the USS Enterprise in the year 2268, resulting in several deaths, including that of the ship's senior geologist Lieutenant D'Amato.

- The character of Losira was created by director Herb Wallerstein and writers John Meredyth Lucas and Michael Richards based on concepts originally developed by Gene Roddenberry.
- Actress Lee Meriwether is also known for playing the role of Catwoman on the 1960s superhero series Batman. She was one of three women to play the role on the series.
