Lorne is a fictional character featured in the WB Network television series Angel. Played by actor Andy Hallett, he first appeared in the season two premiere episode "Judgment". Lorne was a recurring supporting cast member throughout most of the series, but became a credited cast member with season five. In total, he appeared in 76 episodes of the series. Lorne has also appeared in the Angel: After the Fall comic book series by IDW Publishing and received his own one-shot spotlight in Angel Special: Lorne.

The character of Lorne was created by director Michael Lange and producer/writer David Greenwalt based upon concepts originally developed by Greenwalt and showrunner Joss Whedon.

Actor Andy Hallett also had an uncredited role as a student in the "Hush" episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Lorne is also the middle name of Burn Notice star Bruce Campbell.

Actor David Mattey played Behemoth Lorne in the season five episode, "Life of the Party".

Lorne's heart is in his ass - literally. This is part of the physiology of a Deathwok clan demon from Pylea. ^[4]

Actor Andy Hallett tragically passed away from a congenital heart condition on March 29th, 2009 at the age of 33.
