- Ultrawoman is the name of several female characters featured in the Ultraman multimedia franchise, which includes Ace, Beth, Grigio, and Meg.
- Superman apprehended Doctor Gene Newtrich back in the season two episode, "Individual Responsibility". Lucille and Nell Newtrich are Gene's sisters.
- Clark Kent first proposed to Lois Lane in "And the Answer Is...", which was the season two finale.
- Reference is made to Alice White in this episode. Alice White is the wife of Daily Planet managing editor Perry White. They become estranged beginning with this episode when Perry finds a note from Alice asking for a divorce.
