Liz Taylor (born Nick Pryor) is a fictional bartender and one of the main characters featured in the FX Network television series American Horror Story. She is associated with season five of the show, billed under the heading of "Hotel", and was played by actor Denis O'Hare.
Overview[]
Liz Taylor is a transvestite bartender at the Hotel Cortez in Los Angeles, California. She has worked at the hotel's lounge since at least the mid 1990s, but has also fulfilled other functions such as sitting in at the front desk, or escorting guests to their rooms. Like many bartenders, Liz Taylor seems to have a keen insight into the human condition, and often offers up an analysis of the people who come to her bar.
Biography[]
- In 1994, Liz Taylor was occupying the front desk when Iris first came into the hotel, chasing after her son, Donovan. [1]
- Served John Lowe a ginger ale at the bar while John was first conversing with Hypodermic Sally. [3]
- Liz Taylor took an elevator ride with John and profiled him, telling him that he had "lost something". [4]
- Brought Alex Lowe a scotch and John Lowe a soda pop at the lounge on the day that Alex handed John divorce papers. [5]
