They first appeared in the form of Mazikeen in Sandman, Volume 2 #22 in January, 1991. Their first appearance as a group was in Sandman Presents: Lucifer #1 in March, 1999.
Description[]
The Lilim are the offspring of Lilith - the original intended consort of Adam prior to the creation of Eve. After becoming a night spirit following her expulsion from Paradise, Lilith held dalliances with many fallen angels, and through them, produced offspring. The Lilim, being creatures of divine and perverse heritage, manifest in all manners of shapes and appearances, many of which are grotesque in nature.
