Biography[]

Lightning Master from Superman #14 (Feb-1942).
Lightning Master was a scientist who hailed from the reality designated Earth-Two. He developed lightning-based technology that could emit high electrical arcs. He once tried to extort $300,000 from the city of Metropolis and ran afoul of Superman. It was believed that Lightning Master perished after this episode, but turned up again a few weeks later.
In June, 1941, Lightning Master resurfaced as an agent of Ian Karkull. In another bid to extort money, he attempted to destroy the Army and Navy Hospital in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Superman arrived to face him again, but Lightning Master was able to keep him on his toes with his new and improved lightning machine.
Superman received aid from Johnny Thunder and his Bhadnesian Thunderbolt, who destroyed Lightning Master's new machine.
