Leprechaun in the Hood is an American horror-comedy directed by Rob Spera. It is the fifth installment in the Leprechaun film series and was released direct-to-video by Trimark Pictures on March 28th, 2000. The film stars Warwick Davis, reprising his role as the evil, mischievous leprechaun and features a trio of new would-be victims played by A.T. Montgomery, Rashaan Nall and Red Grant. The film also features actor/rap artist Ice-T as a pimp-turned-record producer named Mack Daddy. The films starts off in the 1970s where Mack Daddy comes across the leprechaun and manages to capture him. It then flash forwards to the present where Mack, now a wealthy record producer keeps the immobile leprechaun as a decoration in his office. Three up-and-coming rap artists named Postmaster P., Stray Bullet and Butch unwittingly free the leprechaun and Postmaster manages to grab onto the creature's mystical golden flute - an item that the leprechaun will go to great lengths to recover.
