Leonus is a fictional genetically altered being and a minor recurring character featured in comic book titles published by Marvel Comics. He is part of the mainstream Marvel Universe and first appeared in Hulk King-Size Special #1 in October, 1968.

Biography[]

Leonus was a member of the genetically augmented race known as the Inhumans. He underwent terrigenesis by exposing himself to the Terrigen Mist, which granted him superhuman abilities. Leonus was a resident of the Great Refuge and fell under the influence of Maximus the Mad, who persistently engaged in a scheme to the take the throne of leadership from his brother, Black Bolt.

Unique physiology: Having undergone terrigenesis, Leonus has the physical characteristics of a lion, but in a humanoid frame.
Enhanced speed: Leonus has great dexterity and agility and swiftness.
Enhanced durability: Leonus has tremendous physical endurance.
Enhanced stamina: Leonus has increased stamina on a superhuman level and can operate at peak efficiency for an extended period of time.
Enhanced strength: Leonus has superhuman stress and is capable of lifting and/or pressing in excess of ten tons.
