The Legion Clubhouse is a fictional location featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It is associated with the Legion of Super-Heroes line of titles and first appeared in Adventure Comics #247 in April, 1958.
History[]
The Legion clubhouse was actually a Kryptonian rocket designed by Jor-El, late of the planet Krypton. It was of the same design as the one that brought Jor-El's infant son, Kal-El, to Earth. This rocket landed in the town of Smallville in the exact location as Kal-El's rocket.
This particular rocket still existed in the 30th century, though it had long since been decommissioned. It was relocated to the city of Metropolis where it became the official headquarters of the original Legion of Super-Heroes. The original headquarters was ultimately destroyed in a battle between the Legion and their adversaries the Fatal Five. They salvaged what materials they could and built a new headquarters, patterned in the style of the original rocket.
