"Splitting the Atom!" is the title to the fourth and final issue of the Legend of Wonder Woman comic book limited series published by DC Comics. The story was written by Kurt Busiek & plotted by Busiek and Trina Robbins. Robbins also rendered the pencil work, inking and cover art illustration to the issue. It was colored by Nansi Hoolahan and lettered by Lois Buhalis. The story was edited by Alan Gold. This issue shipped with an August, 1986 cover date and carries a cover price of .75 cents per copy.

- The character of Wonder Woman was created by writer William Moulton Marston and artist Harry G. Peter. She first appeared in a back-up feature in All-Star Comics #8 in January 1942 titled "Introducing Wonder Woman". The character then went on to headline two ongoing titles, Wonder Woman and Sensation Comics and has appeared consistently ever since.
