Leela is a fictional character featured in the BBC television series Doctor Who. Played by actress Louise Jameson, she served as the companion to the Fourth Doctor and appeared in a total of forty episodes over the course of two seasons between 1977 and 1978. She appeared in a total of nine serials.

- The character of Leela was created by Pennant Roberts and Chris Boucher.
- Not to be confused with a character of the same name from Futurama.
- In "The Robots of Death (Part 1"), Louise Jameson loses one of her contact lens during a scene in the lounge, revealing the actresses' blue eyes. The character is supposed to have brown eyes.
- In "The Robots of Death (Part 3"), Leela throws her knife, which strikes a robot in the torso. Based upon the angle and trajectory of the knife just when Leela throws it, it should not have hit its target.
- Actress Louise Jameson was the spotlight Photo-File cast member featured in Doctor Who Weekly #9.
