Le Rustelle di Carmine Italian Restaurant is a fictional location featured in comic books published by DC Comics. It is associated with the Batman family of titles and first appeared in Batman, Volume 3 #154 in January, 2025.
Le Rustelle di Carmine Italian Restaurant was an Italian restaurant located in Gotham City. Power players Edward Nygma and Leonid Kull rented the entire restaurant out one evening for a private function in which they invited deputy mayor Jacob Horgan to join them. This dinner took place the night after the assassination of Mayor Christopher Nakano, leaving Jacob Horgan in position to assume his office.
Batman entered the restaurant to question Edward Nygma and any possible connection he might have to the mayor. At this time, he met Leonid Kull for the first time. Horgan remained nervously quiet in Batman's presence. When Batman indicated that the two men were quickly rising in his list of suspects, Kull coyly remarked, "We're businessmen, not murderers".
At that moment, members of the Gotham City Police Department entered the room to arrest Batman for trespassing during a private engagement. When the officers pulled their weapons, Batman fought against them. He pulled a pin off one cop which was revealed to be a coin of the Court of Owls, indicating that the police officer was a member. Without any real evidence against the two men, Batman was forced to leave them be, but promised that he would get the evidence he needed to implicate them in the mayor's murder.
