Lawrence Henry Carroll, III was the owner of the San Remos Race Track. One of the most notable horses that frequently ran on the track was "Rainbow's End", who was known for its wild behavior. Carroll allowed one of his trainers, Thomas Logan, to experiment with a special vitamin supplement that was aimed at calming feral animals.
