Laura James was a minor character featured in the "The Duplicate Man" episode of the original The Outer Limits. She was played by actress Constance Towers.
Biography[]
Laura James was the wife of scientist Henderson James and lived in his lavish estate during the early 21st century. While attempting to recapture an escaped alien known as a Megasoid, Henderson James elected to have a clone created of himself. Through associated stimuli, the clone began developing the same memories as Henderson James, including the passion that he once felt for his wife. Laura met the clone and although she mistook him for her husband at first, she quickly realized that he was in fact a duplicate. The fake Henderson James awakened old feelings in Laura and she began developing feelings for him, not altogether different from those she once felt for her husband.
