The character of Laura De Mille was created by writer Arnold Drake and artist Bruno Premiani.
Madame Rouge received a character profile in Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe, Volume XIX.
A version of Madame Rouge also appeared in the Teen Titans animated series. Voiced by actress Hynden Walch, she first appeared in episode 5x02, "Homecoming (Part 2)".
A version of Madame Rogue also appeared in season three of the live-action Doom Patrol television series on HBO Max. She was played by actress Michelle Gomez and was introduced at the end of the season three premiere, "Possibilities Patrol".
