Land of the Giants was an American live-action television series that aired on ABC from September of 1968 to March of 1970, spanning two seasons and a total of fifty-one episodes. The series was created by Irwin Allen and produced by his production company Irwin Allen Productions as well as Kent Productions and Twentieth Century-Fox. The premise of the series revolved around a crew of astronauts whose sub-orbital spacecraft, the Spindrift, is caught in a cosmic storm and propelled across the galaxy where they crash land on an alien planet where everything is twelve times their size. The crew of the Spindrift are forced to endure great hardship on a world populated by seventy-two foot giants.
