The Land Within is a fictional location featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. It is generally associated with Marvel's horror or supernatural fantasy retinue of titles and first appeared in Adventure Into Fear #22 in June, 1974. The Land Within has also appeared in Giant-Size Creatures #1, and early issues of West Coast Avengers, Volume 2.
Description[]
The Land Within is an interdimensional mystical realm that cannot be accessed through conventional means of travel. It can only be found by traveling upon the River of Oblivion. Ages ago, a group of mystics banished a race of feline demons called the Cat People to the Land Within. The Living Vampire Michael Morbius once journeyed there where he confronted Grigar, who was Balkatar of the Cat People.
The West Coast Avengers journeyed to the Land Within to help their teammate Tigra come to terms with her feline nature.
