Lance Hunter is a fictional spy and one of the main characters on Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. television series. Played by actor Nick Blood, he was added to the show's main line-up in season two, beginning with the season premiere, "Shadows".
Overview[]
Lance Hunter is a British spy employed by the United States super-spy organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D.. During a mission he met and fell in love with an American agent named Bobbi Morse. The two were eventually married, but conflicting personalities eventually led to separation.
Lance was part of a special unit led by Isabelle "Izzy" Hartley. Following Hartley's death after making contact with an alien obelisk, Lance Hunter joined up with the S.H.I.E.L.D. detachment led by Director Phil Coulson. [2]

- Hand-to-Hand Combat (Advanced): Trained as a spy, Lance Hunter is an able-bodied combatant, though he is not as skilled as either Bobbi Morse or Melinda may.
- Firearms: Lance Hunter has received firearms training and is as skilled in the use of guns as any other agent, and probably a little bit better than most.

- The character of Lance Hunter was created by director Vincent Misiano and script writers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen based on concepts developed by writer Gary Friedrich and artist Herb Trimpe.
- The Marvel Universe version of Lance Hunter is a bit different from the one presented her. He was a member of British Intelligence and an officer in the Royal Navy. He made recurring appearances in the UK magazine Captain Britain.
- The comic book version of Lance Hunter first appeared in Captain Britain #19 in February, 1977. This was five years before the birth of actor Nick Blood, who was born on March 20th, 1982.
