The Lambert residence is a fictional location featured in the Insidious film series. It first appeared in the 2010 film Insidious. It also appeared in its 2013 sequel, Insidious: Chapter 2. The Lambert residence may refer to one of two structures. The first is the home of Lorraine Lambert, which is where Josh Lambert grew up.
History[]
In 1986, Josh became a "traveler", which left his physical body susceptible to possession. Lorraine called in a spiritualist named Elise Rainier to help bring Josh's astral form back to his body. Afterward, she hypnotized him into forgetting the entire incident.
In 2010, Josh now married with three children, moved into a very large three-story home. His son, Dalton Lambert, inherited the same ability to project his astral self from his body, just like Josh, and had wandered so far into "The Further", that he became lost. With his body left in a comatose state, it was vulnerable to attack. The Lambert residence was terrorized by numerous malevolent entities who sought to claim possession of Dalton's body.
Elise Rainier and her crew were recruited once again, this time to save Dalton. With Josh's help, they were successful in recovering the child, but Josh lost his way and became possessed, after which, he attacked and killed Elise Rainier.

Notes[]
- The exact location of the Lambert residence is unclear. The first movie was filmed in California, and the presence of palm trees on both sides of the house suggest that this is where it is located as well.
