Lacey Greene is a fictional zombie apocalypse survivor and a minor character featured in The Walking Dead comic book series published by Image Comics. She first appeared in issue #10 in July, 2004. She also appeared in issue #11, which was the final appearance of the character.
Biography[]
Lacey Greene was a member of the Greene family of rural Georgia and lived on the Greene farm. She was the oldest daughter of Hershel Greene. Her mother's name is unknown. She had numerous half-siblings including three sisters named Maggie, Susie, and Rachel, and three brothers named Arnold, Billy, and Shawn.
In the months following the zombie apocalypse, Lacey and the other members of the family rounded up various walkers and kept them isolated inside of a barn on the farm. Lacey Greene was present when a group of roving survivors, led by Rick Grimes, came to the Greene farm. She escorted them around the property, but kept clear of the barn and its undead occupants. [1]
After a session of target practice, Hershel Greene discovered a zombie and tried to herd it into the barn. A larger walker emerged from behind the door, forcing it open, allowing the other walkers to begin spilling out. Arnold and Lacey Greene climbed across the hayloft hoping to get to them, but Arnold was bitten by the zombified form of his late brother, Shawn. Lacey was distracted just long enough for a throng of walkers to converge upon her, devouring her. After the remaining undead were done away with, Hershel put Lacey down before she could reanimate. - Lacey Greene is exclusive to the continuity of The Walking Dead comic book series by Image Comics. The character has no counterpart in The Walking Dead television series on AMC.

- Posthumously, Lacey Greene's extended family includes Glenn who becomes her brother-in-law after marrying Maggie Greene, Sophia, who becomes Maggie and Glenn's adoptive daughter, and Hershel Greene II, who is Maggie and Glenn's son and Lacey's nephew.
