Biography[]

Andy meets Kyle

Andy meets Kyle.

Kyle was a blond-haired Caucasian woman from Illinois. She was born sometime around 1973. Kyle never knew her father, and her mother gave her up for adoption when she was only three-years-old. Since then, she bounced around the foster care system, moving from family to family. By the early 1990s, when she was about seventeen, she was living with Phil and Joanne Simpson.

A few months before Kyle's eighteenth birthday, the Simpsons brought another foster child into their home - Andy Barclay. Andy was a traumatized youth who believed that his Good Guys doll, Chucky, had tried to murder him. Though it sounded ludicrous, Andy actually spoke the truth, as his doll had been possessed by the soul of a serial killer known as Charles Lee Ray.

Kyle tried to bond with Andy to make him feel more comfortable about being a foster child while his mother was undergoing evaluation in a mental health facility. They shared a cigarette, and played on a swing in the front yard.

When Phil Simpson discovered that one of his wife's beloved figurines had been broken, he automatically assumed it was Andy (in truth it was Chucky). Both Kyle and Andy denied breaking the keepsake, so Phil grounded them both. Kyle was particularly put out since she had a date, so she decided to sneak out. Later that evening, she returned by climbing the trellis outside the house and sneaking into Andy's room. What she found was Andy tied to the bedposts with a sock shoved in his mouth and the Chucky doll sitting motionless nearby. Phil entered the room and assumed that Kyle had tied Andy up. He took the Chucky doll and threw it away.

That evening, Kyle was sitting on the swing and discovered the buried remains of a smashed "Tommy" Good Guys doll. The Chucky doll had disappeared from the trash can. At this point, she began to believe Andy's endless claims of the Chucky doll trying to kill him. Before long, Kyle saw Chucky's animated form for herself, and labored towards saving herself and Andy from the psychotic killer toy.

Chucky karate chopped Andy in the neck, then took him to the Play Pals factory where he was going to enact the ritual to transfer his soul into Andy's body. Kyle slid under the rolling factory door, and found herself in a warehouse filled with pallets of Good Guys dolls. She ascended one wrack and managed to dump a pile of boxed dolls onto Chucky.

Grabbing Andy, she tried to escape by climbing up one of the assembly lines. Chucky pursued them, but his hand got caught in one of the rollers, and he had to tear it off to free himself. He was then trapped inside one of the assembly devices, which fused multiple doll parts to his body. After which, Kyle dumped a vat of hot liquid plastic overtop of him. She then took up an air hose and shoved it into Chucky's mouth until his head exploded. It seemed that the threat of Charles Lee Ray was over. For now... [1]

Andy & Kyle don't take no shit.

Thirty-plus years later, the adult Andy Barclay continued to wage war against the threat of Chucky, who now had now developed the ability to split his soul into numerous Good Guys dolls. Andy reconnected with Kyle, who joined him in his crusade against the rising Chucky army.

Masquerading as agents of the census bureau, they visited various homes where they believed Good Guys dolls may have been delivered. During one such visit in Hackensack, New Jersey, they acquired a doll from a little black girl and shot it multiple times until they were certain it could not function as a host body for Chucky. [2]

Kyle and Andy continued their crusade, though Andy began to have misgivings about dragging Kyle along on such a dangerous mission. They stopped at a gas station where Kyle purchased some driving gloves. Before she could return to the car though, Andy left her. She eventually tracked Andy down to the original home of Charles Lee Ray. Andy was already inside, and heard Kyle trying to get in. He tried to warn her that Chucky had booby-trapped the house, but he was too late. As she entered, a detonator went off and the house exploded. [3] Miraculously, both Kyle and Andy survived. [4]
