"The Omen in the Skull" is the title to the first story featured in issue #3 of the Kull and the Barbarians comic book magazine published by Marvel Comics and Curtis Magazines. It was written by Doug Moench with artwork and inks by Vicente Alcazar. The second story is called "The Trail of Solomon Kane", which is a four-page text article by Fred Blosser and artists Bob Budiansky and Duffy Vohland. The third feature is a Red Sonja tale called "The Day of the Sword" by Doug Moench and Howard Chaykin. The final story, also featuring Solomon Kane, is called titled "Into the Silent City", which is an adaptation of a Robert E. Howard story. It was written by Roy Thomas with artwork by Alan Weiss and Pablo Marcos. This issue boasts a painted cover illustration by Mike Whelan. This issue shipped in September, 1975 and carries a cover price of $1.00 per copy (US).
